1. Agreeing to these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to your use of the Smashit Junk Removal website and to junk removal, cleanout and light demolition services we provide (“Services”). By using our site or booking a job, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or book a job.

2. Estimates and pricing

Estimates are free and come with no obligation. Our pricing is based on the amount of space your items take up in our truck, along with the type of job. We give you a price based on the photos and details you send, and we confirm the price with you before we start.

If the job turns out to be different from what we were shown, for example more items, harder access or items we cannot take, we will talk to you about it before going further. Any price shown on this website is a general guide only.

3. Booking and scheduling

Same-day and next-day appointments are available depending on our schedule. Arrival times are our best estimate, and things like traffic, weather or earlier jobs can change them. Please let us know as early as you can if you need to reschedule or cancel.

4. Your responsibilities

• Give us accurate information about the items, the location and how we get in.
• Make sure you own the items, or have the right to have them removed, and that we are allowed on the property.
• Take out valuables, important papers, medications and personal items before we arrive. Once items are on the truck, we cannot return them.
• Clear a path to the items where you can, and tell us about stairs, gates, narrow spaces or pets.
• Disconnect appliances and fixtures from power, water and gas before we arrive, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.

5. Items we cannot take

For safety and legal reasons, some items cannot go on our truck. These include paint, solvents, motor oil, gasoline, antifreeze, batteries, propane tanks, pesticides, pool chemicals, medical waste, needles, medications, firearms and ammunition, and anything contaminated or unsafe. We also do not do asbestos or lead abatement, or mold and biohazard cleanup.

Riverside County offers free household hazardous waste drop-off for residents. If you are not sure whether we can take something, send us a photo and we will tell you straight.

6. Light demolition

Light demolition is done safely, with debris removal, cleanup and proper disposal included. Some structures may need approval from your city or county, and older structures can contain materials that call for specialist handling. You are responsible for confirming any approvals that apply to your property. Not sure we can take it down? Send us a photo and we will tell you straight.

7. Payment

We confirm your price, and how payment works, before we start. Please ask us if you have questions about payment methods. We take 10% off for First Responders, Military and Seniors. Mention it when you book.

8. Text messages and calls

If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts, we may text you about your quote, appointment and job. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any service. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information.

9. Care of your property

We handle your property and your belongings with care. If something is damaged during a job, tell us as soon as you notice, ideally before we leave, so we can look at it together and work out a fair solution. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage or for damage that comes from inaccurate information about the items or the site.

10. Limits on our responsibility

To the fullest extent the law allows, Smashit is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages related to our Services or this website. Our total responsibility for any claim related to a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under California law that cannot be waived.

11. Using this website

You may use this site for lawful purposes only. All text, images and design on this site belong to Smashit or are used with permission, and you may not copy or reuse them without our written permission. Illustrations on this site are for general guidance and may not match your exact items, location or results. We try to keep information accurate and up to date, but we do not promise that it is complete or error-free.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. Using our site or booking a job after an update means you accept the new Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute will be handled in the courts located in Riverside County, California, unless the law requires otherwise.
